Author: Gabriel LeBlanc

A native of Petit-de-Grat (Richmond County, Nova Scotia), author Gabriel LeBlanc is an educator and school administrator who has been much appreciated by his students and co-workers over the course of his career. Of thirty years of elementary and secondary education in public schools.

A proud Acadian and a renowned storyteller, passionate about history in general, and particularly Acadians and Mi'kmaq in Richmond County, Mr. LeBlanc wrote this book for the history of his people and his relations with the Mi people 'Kmaq are never forgotten. To my knowledge, the author is the first Acadian in the region to write a book on this subject.

In addition to the historical facts contained in original documents and other writings and research works, this book exposes the folklore of the people of the region and reports testimonies of local personalities. Mr. LeBlanc also wanted to pay tribute to the people who accompanied him in the development of his Acadian pride.

This book is an important contribution to preserving and promoting the history of people in this beautiful little corner of the province of Nova Scotia.
